ABOUT US

The Jewish Federation of Greater Long Beach and West Orange County and it’s family of agencies, located on Federation’s Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Jewish Community Campus, is the heart of the Jewish Community in Long Beach.

Established in 1948, the Jewish Federation connects the Long Beach Jewish Community and supports a network of Jewish and non-sectarian social and educational services.  For Over 60 years, the Jewish Federation has raised funds, convened leadership, and helped focus collective energy around a unified vision for our community. The Federation has been at the forefront of issues facing our local community as well as Jewish communities around the world. At any hour of any given day, the Federation, through its network of service providers, is making a difference in the lives of those in need.

The Federation movement protects and enhances the well-being of Jews worldwide through the values of tikkun olam (repairing the world), tzedakah (charity and social justice) and Torah (Jewish learning).  Today, the Jewish Federation is your commitment to humanitarian aid – to fight poverty, care for the elderly, and secure our Jewish future. The Federation is your response to a world in crisis, providing unwavering support for the people of Israel and instant emergency assistance to all people confronting disaster, wherever, they live.
