Please join us on our 1st full moon hike of 2010! Jeff Zimerman will lead this moderate 7 mil RT hike on fire roads to an old Nike Missile Site (w/ running water & flush toilets). On a clear night, the site has beautiful views of LA from the ocean to downtown to the valleys. There is approximately 900 ft of elev. gain in a gentle uphill climb on well-maintained fire roads. At the halfway point, at the top, we will break to share our snacks and to have a brief Havdalah service; then, we'll head back down. Optional coffee/snacks/dessert at a local shop afterward.
Please note: Restrooms and water are at the halfway point, but not at the trailhead.
