Jewish Public Affairs Committee California (JPAC) is the largest single state coalition of Jewish Organizations. Their main goal is to advocate on the behalf of Jewish social service agencies, traditional community concerns, and broadly shared values that affect the citizens of our State. JPAC monitors and helps to develop and promote state legislative initiatives of interest to the Jewish community and the community at-large. Past JPAC efforts have focused on such areas as health care funding for frail, low-income seniors, the California-Israel relationship, Holocaust-era insurance claim issues, and public education. In addition, they serve as a resource to legislators on various policy matters including charitable choice, religion in schools, and the approval of history textbooks to be used in school districts throughout the State.
