• Canceling within 24hrs of the day of your lesson guarantees that you will receive a make-up lesson placed in your file to be scheduled by you at your earliest convenience.
• Make-up lessons will expire within 30 days. Make-up lessons may be scheduled in advance, within the current month. We do not reschedule previously scheduled make-up lessons. Current enrollment is required to schedule a make-up lesson.
• If you arrive late for your lesson, we will do our best to give you the full lesson time; however, we can only guarantee the remaining time of your scheduled lesson.
• Please note there are no make-ups for group lessons missed unless canceled by the AJCC due to weather or equipment malfunction.

The J is open to all people regardless of race or religion.

Alpert JCC members are allotted complimentary guest passes in limited quantities:

• Adult/couple memberships – 6 Guests passes/year
• Family memberships – 12/year

After exceeding the amount of complimentary guests, members may purchase additional guest passes are $10/adult and $5/child (free for children under 2).

If I’m a member at another JCC, can I use your center?

Each JCC is operated independently, and many allow for membership reciprocity.

If you a going out of town and want to temporarily use another JCC facility, please contact the Membership Services department of the JCC in the area you will be visiting for more details.

If you are a member of another JCC and visiting Long Beach, we will honor your membership for up to two weeks. To redeem this, please contact someone from your JCC’s Membership department, and ask them to send verification of your membership to Michelle Sears at msears@alpertjcc.org within 1 – 2 weeks of your visit.

You may authorize a checking account withdrawal or credit/debit card* charge of equal installments monthly or annually commencing on your join date or in the month of your renewal. *A 3% processing fee is added to all credit/debit card transactions.

The J is a pluralistic Jewish Community Center that serves the needs of the entire community. We are open to people of all faiths and backgrounds. As a community center, we offer a newly renovated fitness facility, excellent youth programs, cultural arts events for all ages, adult Jewish learning programs, senior adult activities and much more!

Yes, members get access to all group fitness classes. Members can sign up for group classes online or in the Alpert JCC App.

The fitness center is open to all JCC members 13 years of age and older. Members 13 – 17 years of age must take mandatory fitness orientation with a fitness instructor. An appointment can be made at the courtesy desk. A parent or legal guardian must accompany the minor during their fitness orientation.
