In celebration of Black History Month, our 18–24 month toddlers explored Alma Thomas–inspired mosaic art using vibrant paint and simple shapes. Through stamping and repetitive mark-making, children strengthened fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and early pattern recognition while expressing creativity in an open-ended way. This experience also supports sensory exploration, focus, and confidence as toddlers see how their individual marks come together to create a collective masterpiece.
