Embracing the Journey: Make the Decision Yours through end-of-life planning.
It is human to want to do things our way (thank you, Mr. Sinatra). This is true throughout our lives and probably no more important than towards the end of life. However, we do need to understand our options — care at home, assisted living, memory care, nursing home; who can support our loved ones or us; healthcare directives; can we even make these decisions? Thirty-plus years in the Emergency Department and now teaching for over a decade about healthcare directives and end-of-life choices has allowed me to be a witness to life, death, and everything in between.
OLLI Membership is not required for attendance. Free parking and refreshments will be served
