Spend Shabbat on the Falk Playground with your friends from the J and Temple Israel! Sing Shabbat songs with us and munch on Kosher-style pizza. Plus, participate in mitzvah projects like packing food bags.

Mitzvah Projects

Food Bags: Pack small bags of nonperishable food for homeless students. The food bags will be made available through the CSULB Food Pantry.

Toys for Simcha: We will collect tzedakah (monetary donations) for Toys for Simcha, an organization that distributes toys and games to children and teens in hospitals in Israel.

What is Shabbat?

Shabbat is the day of rest, starting Friday evening. On Shabbat, families take a break and spend time together and with community.

 

Repair the World is the Jewish service movement. Volunteering creates vibrant Jewish communities, hope, and a better world. We connect Jews and their neighbors to volunteer opportunities that always include meaningful Jewish learning.
