Each year, our smallest AJCC members create works of art inspired by Chanukah.

Our Art Pavilion teacher, Mrs. Lockett works collaboratively with the children and teachers, and each classroom comes up with a unique piece of art that expresses joy, creativity, and exploration of Jewish traditions and values.

The children in our program create art through the process, guided by their creativity and imagination. Please enjoy the work created by our children.

Our art teacher: Although Mrs. Lockett started her career in early childhood education later in life, it’s clear this is what she was meant to do. Each day, she is excited to combine her love of children with her passion for art, helping each child take pride in their unique abilities through creative expression. Her dedication to this work led her to earn an Associate Teacher certificate from Long Beach City College. At home, she is always working on a project, which her husband of over forty years kindly tolerates. She has two children and a beloved cat named Luna.
