Temple Israel is a vibrant, active Reform Jewish congregation with programs that are both substantive and relevant for modern Jewish life. We wrestle daily with the meaning of life. We fulfill spiritual needs. We help intermarried families build Jewish lives.

We offer comprehensive Jewish education for children and adults. We are a center of social action -- and we're very sociable! We cherish the warm and caring people who make our congregation such a unique and close "family of families." This sense of Mishpacha pervades our services, our school of more than 200 students from Pre-K through High School, our youth groups, study programs and our many special activities. We extend our hands in welcome and invite you to share our warmth and friendship. Our hope is that by becoming a part of our synagogue community, your life will be enriched.

Our Temple Israel Family is comprised of our Professional Staff, Support Staff and approximately 600 member families. Our Professional Staff members include Interim Rabbi Jim Simon, Cantor Sara Hass, our Executive Director, Eric J. Shatzkin, our Educator, Sharon Amster Brown, and Youth Director, Kara Liu.
