Jewish Long Beach is expanding our brand and introducing J Long Beach, a simpler, more welcoming way to bring everything we do together.

For years, you’ve met friends at the J. You’ve worked out at the J. Your children have grown up at the J. You’ve celebrated, learned, volunteered, gathered and belonged at the J.

So we listened.

New look, same commitment.

It’s a new look. A shorter name. But the same commitment to building a vibrant Jewish community rooted in connection, belonging, and Jewish life.

Jewish Long Beach is still Jewish Long Beach.

The Alpert JCC is still the Alpert JCC.

Our Jewish Federation and Community Foundation remain part of who we are.

Now they are connected by one shared identity: J Long Beach.

Because whether you come here to swim, learn, celebrate Shabbat, send your child to camp, strengthen our community, or simply find your people...

A note on our Early Childhood Education Program

Our Alpert JCC Early Childhood Education Center has been providing quality play-based learning to the Long Beach community for over 65 years. The ECE was originally called a "Nursery School" and later became known as an Early Childhood Education Center as our understanding of child development grew.

To reach more families and continue growing our program, we are shifting from Alpert JCC Early Childhood Education Center (ECE) to Alpert JCC Preschool. This shorter name aligns with how so many families already refer to us, and will help us better communicate our mission.
